You hear “leaving students on the table” every so often.
Maybe some Martial Arts business guru is talking about how just one or two tweaks can really
increase results. The truth is most Martial Arts business marketing websites leave a bunch of students on the table. Usually, a website is missing one of these seven simple and effective internet marketing principles.
Let's Explore ...
1. On your home page you need an offer for your trial program. It should be top-right and above the fold. The eyes naturally flow in this direction. This principle also reinforces the true goal of you website which is to get someone to accept your trial or intro offer. Think about Netflix. Yeah, they raised prices lately and took some heat because of it. But the goal of Netflix's home page is to have a visitor sign up for their trial. Now go ahead and double check where their offer is placed – I'll wait.
2. You need specific lead capture forms on each program page, so kids get a different form than adults do. Doing this enables you to build a list of prospects by interest. The more you know about the person who wants more info on your classes, the better. Too many schools use the same lead form for everyone – that's a mistake.
3. You must have separate auto-pilot follow-up emails for each program. Number three easily follows number two. The emails that follow up on the prospect need to be matched to their interests.
4. Squeeze Pages – done correctly and optimized, they can capture more leads for you. One way to dominate for your keywords is to add some lead capture/squeeze pages. These pages make an offer for something of value. A few of my clients have had great success offering video courses.
See the squeeze page to the right. --- > It offers a FREE report.5. Your Blog. You must do it, no more excuses. Your blog can be a separate domain, but it must LOOK like your website and be part of your website.
6. Trial capture and capture for complimentary video course and reports on your blog. Video courses are great because they help you build rapport with a prospect without spending your time. One thing we're testing on our blogs right now are multiple offers for valuable information. There's a certain reciprocity in play. If you give some good info, they feel good about you. When they glance to the right and see your offers, they are more apt to take you up on one of them.
7. When appropriate collect complete info from a prospect including physical address and mobile number. This is so powerful. The truth is not all of your web leads will actually show up to your school. When you have their mobile number and their mailing address, you can get their attention easier because you'll engage them in various ways. You can even automate the direct mail process so that no one in your school has to do it.
OK, there you have it … Seven ways to “Crush It” online. Start with one or move fast and implement all seven. Just do something.
