Your current members are on Facebook … your future members are there… and you should be too! Plus, Facebook goes hand-in-hand with our online event registration system, Event Manager, to make marketing your events quick and easy.

Here are 3 simple steps to maximize your event turnout through the world’s largest social network and our easy-to-use registration tool, Event Manager:

Facebook ‘Status Update’

A simple but important step with any event marketing is to post status updates often and consistently.  Be sure to include your Event Manager registration link within the message to make it as easy as possible for people to sign up.

It’s also a good practice to encourage your friends and business partners to post notices on their business Facebook page regarding your event. Every communication point counts!

Set Up an Event on Facebook

Setting up an event will notify all your Facebook fans about your event and give them the opportunity to sign up. Once you hit the “Create Event” button, your event post will appear in all your fans’ Newsfeed. Plus, anyone that visits your Facebook page can see a list of your upcoming events from the left sidebar menu.

Simply log-in to your business Facebook page and follow these simple steps:

1)     Select “Events” from the left sidebar menu

2)     Click the “Create an Event” button

3)     Enter your event details (i.e. event name, date, location)

4)     Add your Event Manager registration link to the “More Info?” box

5)     Select guests (who’s invited)

6)     Click the “Create Event” button

Even take it one step further and showcase your events using your Facebook Photo Album! Facebook allows users to upload hi-res photos and HD quality videos…for free! Use this to your advantage, show off past events and create promos for new ones.

Activate the social media buttons on your event registration forms

Let your registrants spread the word for you! Go to the “Admin” tab within Event Manager and choose the option to display Facebook, Email a Friend and Twitter buttons. This is an easy and effective way for your registrants to forward your online registration form and event information to their many followers and friends.
